Our Restaurant La Brulerie

Our International menu is headed by chef and a sous-chef working along with a maitre´d and a team of service and culinary professionals.

In the midst of this little paradise these professionals have designed a traditional menu enriched with their own creations, incorporating fresh ingredients and savory seasonings into fine cuisine. Seafood, meats, pastas, soups, gourmet sandwiches and local dishes are served in the midst of lively birds and sights of our beautiful and antique coffee Estate. Tasting our house coffee is a must! We’ve been exporting coffee since 1929 to the most demanding specialty coffee markets around the world. Order it fresh in any of our brewing methods: Espresso, Drip, Chemex, Vac-Pac or French Press.

From a terrace or inside our cozy restaurant, coffee or wine becomes a surreal experience along with the magnificent Panamanian tropical sights.

We enjoy a steady climate with temperatures in the range of the 60s year-long generated by ocean winds that come both from the Caribbean and Pacific oceans. These winds mingle together at an altitude of 5200 ft. above sea level. Experience authentic and exquisite high-altitude food in our restaurant or terrace.

Coffee Shop

Our coffee shop emanates a special aroma of coffee tradition, lined with adornments and souvenirs. You’ll find our service steeped in diligence and kindness from all our staff of professionals.

Coffee Tour

The coffee tour begins in the fields of Boquete where we can get a glimpse of the three vital factors that influence the coffee’s quality: the soil, the micro-climate, and the particular genetics of the variety. Next we will learn about the history, origin, qualities and secrets of coffee handling. In the second phase of the tour, we will learn about coffee production all the way from ripe coffee cherry to roasted bean.

What makes this tour unique, besides the invaluable ecological reserve that the coffee plantation shares, is its history that was always tied to ToleffBocheMonniche. Toleff was a Norwegian engineerand graduate from the Royal College of Dresden, Germany, who worked on the design and construction of the Panama Canal’s emergency gates.

The tour ends at the Tasting Table where the long, intense and complex coffee process ends. This is also the place where we find out whether or not a whole year’s work produced a high quality coffee. Those that participate will taste different varieties of coffee and learn how to distinguish between different taste tones. Instruction will be given on how to prepare a good cup of coffee by learning about water temperature, time, toasting and grinding, and different brewing methods like Coffee Maker, French Press, Drip brew and Boiling. This tour illustrates the coffee culture in a fun way, helping the participant better enjoy this legendary aromatic drink. After a tour like this, a cup of coffee will never taste the same!

Bird Watching

The trails of Finca Lerida are ecological paths that lead you through the coffee plantation and tropical forest of Boquete.

This is the most accessible region of Chiriqui’s High Lands where the beautiful Quetzal bird can be seen thanks to the conservation of the forest and the “Aguacatillo” tree that provides the Quetzal with its favorite fruit.
Most of these trails go deep inside La Amistad International Park where more than 500 species of American Tropical birds can be found.

Hiking

In this tour you will discover a great variety of exotic animals and plants inhabiting our forests. Finca Lerida borders Amistad National Park (PILA), a natural reserve protected both by Panama and Costa Rica that has been declared a World Heritage Site. Our professionally designed trails are surrounded by primary and secondary forests, where a variety of exotic animals and vegetation make their home.
These trails can be easily hiked by both amateurs and experts alike. You can choose to hike to an impressive waterfall or appreciate one of Panama’s most impacting views from a vantage point.
If you have the time and energy, you’ll be able to hike more than 10 km of well-marked trails.
