Panama Eco Lodge – Experience Nature
El Rio Encantado is a 100 acre private Eco Lodge/Nature Resort on both sides of the river Caldera on a paved road 15 minutes to the town of Boquete. Set aside years ago to be protected from all the development in the area. Rio Encantado is a special place to spend your vacation.
Three comfortable cottages are scattered throughout the property that allow guests to explore the luxurious gardens on groomed nature trails. All our cottages are self-sufficient accommodations with outfitted kitchens. We have a Rancho, with full kitchen and bar next to the pool. The town of Caldera is only 2 kilometers down the road and here you will find restaurants, grocery supplies, emergency services, police station, the Caldera hot springs.
Enjoy luxurious swimming in our in-ground pool or take a leap into the three tropical swimming holes in our adjacent river. We have our special Tree House completed, located on the river in a very special location. Rio Encantado welcomes nature lovers and birders from all over the world and is for Guests 12 years and up.
We have a full bar at the pool with drinks and snacks a la carte. Special meals are available by reservation.

Rio Encantado is a destination. Set in a unique natural tropical river valley, it is a place to spend a week or more exploring the nature trails, river, wildlife or simply enjoy the user friendly facilities, wi-fi, tv, pool and experience the world of pre-columbian art on the grounds and home of the owner . We have a new Tarzan swing and Zip Line at the Tree House Area, with 3 plataform and 2 lines to cross the river where we have a jungle trail to connect to the pool area.

About Us
The owner Frank has been a lifelong collector and aficionado of primitive art specializing in the Pre-Columbian cultures from Panama to Mexico. Throughout the property, there are monumental replicas of Pre-Columbian art, including a 10 foot Toltec statute used as a shower for the pool Because of this love for nature and art, Rio Encantado is an expression and celebration of both art and nature in a very unique natural setting on both sides of the Caldera river comprising a little river valley. Our goal is to provide fully furnished private cabins that blend with nature, to share the art, culture and nature of this part of the world. We have a common pool and rancho area where guests can visit and use the pool, bar, stove, BBQ and information board. For those who need and chose to stay connected, we have Wi-Fi and direct TV in all Cottages and Wi-Fi at the pool and rancho.
