Bocas del Mar Hotel in Chiriqui is a stunning boutique hotel with modern, luxury features. Hotel accommodations are in twenty large, contemporary-style bungalow guest rooms, including the magnificent Premier Suite. All rooms are set in tropical gardens alongside the glistening blue water; open your drapes each morning and the Pacific Ocean is there to greet you!

Bathe in our two beautiful infinity-style pools, sun yourself on our wide terraces or private cove, or let us take care of you in our stylish restaurant and bar. Nestling amidst a stunning tropical paradise, Bocas del Mar Hotel in Boca Chica offers the perfect base for discovering the region. This is the gateway to the Gulf of Chiriquí Marine National Park with its many luxuriant green islands, palm-tree-fringed white beaches and an incredible variety of wildlife, right on the hotel’s doorstep! We have our own private dock at the hotel, ideal to go beach-hopping or set off on a sports fishing trip. Our trip program is varied and we even run our own comfortable excursion boat with a daily tour schedule in the Gulf of Chiriqui.
Bocas Del Mar, in Boca Chica, is easy to get to. We’re on the mainland, so coming by road is simple: the airport in David, Panama’s second city is only 50 minutes away (airport pick up service available). We are also just a short, easy drive to visit the mountains of Chiriquí; Boquete, Volcan Baru and the local indigenous villages.

This is a Belgian family-owned and run hotel; we bring a lifetime of hospitality experience from Europe to this wonderful corner of Panama, having fallen in love with its hidden beauty. We’ve added to this the magical key ingredient; the warm hearts and kindness of the local people of Panama, creating the friendly Bocas del Mar team that is here to take good care of you.

Bocas del Mar Hotel accommodations consists of twenty large bungalow-style guest rooms or ‘cabañas’ as the Panamanians call them, architect designed with a beautiful contemporary style. If you had to sum up our bright, airy rooms, you’d say; stylish comfort, modern features, views of nature & ocean plus, above all, plenty of space; perfect for restoring body and soul in!
Some have extra features such as our deluxe bungalows with added hot tub, private parking space & private yard with views, or the interconnected bungalows for small groups or families. And of course we must highlight the exceptional Gulf of Chiriquí Premier Suite (2 floors with living room, hot tub & own large terrace), perfect for a very special occasion.
All bungalows are arranged in the hotel’s attractive gardens, filled with tropical plants and birdsong. Their views stretch toward the shimmering blue water just a few yards away. The swimming pools, restaurant and guest parking are all very close by and easily accessible as rooms are laid out on slopes with few steps.
Restaurant & Bar
Bocas del Mar Hotel is proud to invite you to join us in our beautiful restaurant and bar, set on extensive lawns overlooking the Pacific Ocean and alongside one of the stunning swimming pools. We have our own boat dock to tie up on just alongside.
We are currently open seven days a week to hotel guests from 12pm to 2.00pm and from 6pm to 9.00pm. For lunch & in the evening, we are pleased to welcome diners from outside the hotel*.
Hotel guests can also enjoy a complimentary full a la carte breakfast in the restaurant each morning and a dedicated waiter service for pool drinks and light snacks from 11am to 5pm. We also offer room service.
Our passion is in providing you with the most welcoming dining experience on the Chiriqui coast. Our international-style menu offers a variety of high-quality plates at reasonable prices. Our mission is simple; good food, done well.
Of course we can’t avoid mentioning our fish dishes, especially since we have some of the world’s richest stocks of marine life in the ocean nearby. You’ll find delicious fresh seafood when available, including lobster, and if you’ve caught your own, we’d be delighted to prepare it and serve it to you!
Sunset is a great time to join other guests on the terrace bar for a drink as the sun sets and the sky turns a fiery red.
